Impact Activity Center's fundraising challenge
Our goals
In 2020, Freedom in Christ Ministries, a local Boonville church pastored by Chequita Hinkle, acquired the Sumner School property from CCBC. The group established the Impact Activity Center, a 501(3)(c) non-profit company led by Daniel Bruce, also of Boonville, to restore the building and re-establish a community center. We will...
- remediate the building
- open the new Impact Activity community center
- restore and further enhance the Sumner building
(including a small museum to its history) - expand Impact Activity's reach in Boonville and surrounding communities
The building is sound and the roof has been fixed thanks to your help. The next step is mold remediation and other interior improvements.
The historic importance of Sumner School and the social value of a community-focused organization in downtown Boonville make this a very worthwhile effort.

Volunteering
When the pandemic ends we can also use your help as a volunteer. Replacing gym floor, cleaning, repairing, painting, plumbing, it all needs a little TLC. Watch for announcements for chances to help out.
